Leading OEM/ODM Services for Cutting-Edge AI & AR Hardware Innovations
The landscape of AI smart glasses is rapidly evolving, with new products entering the market and existing ones receiving updates. XR Vision Studio has compiled the "Comprehensive Guide to AI Smart Glasses," to keep track of these developments. This guide is regularly updated to reflect the latest advancements in the field. The latest updates include more information on AI smart glasses from Rokid, Transsion, 7Xian Wei (7Xian Wei), and ByteDance (ByteDance).
Rokid Glasses now support multiple AI models, allowing users to manually configure their preferences. Officially announced by Rokid, the glasses integrate several large models such as DeepSeek, Doubao (Beanbag), ZhiPu Qingyan (Smart Spectrum Qingyan), and Nanmi Search (Nano Search). These models are categorized into foundational models, visual models, and search models, each handling different aspects of AI capabilities.
Foundational Models handle overall AI capabilities, including conversational interactions, Q&A, and feature invocation.
Visual Models process visual information, such as object recognition.
Search Models integrate the latest information to answer questions and provide归纳 (summarization) of information.
Rokid's approach of using multiple models leverages the strengths of various models, and users can configure their preferences based on usage habits. Moreover, Rokid Glasses will continuously add more models to meet the growing needs of research and professional fields. Users can also use the open AI standard API to connect their private models, catering to more specialized needs.
Rokid's founder, Lisa, indicated in the product will officially launch in June 2025.
During MWC, Transsion unveiled two AI smart glasses models, and the product information has been updated. The Transsion AI Glasses weigh 37 grams and feature a dual-chip architecture using the WQ7036 chip from Wuxin Microelectronics (main control chip) and an STM32N6 chip. This dual-chip design includes a main control chip and a low-power SOC chip, with the latter used for lower-power consumption scenarios like music playback, extending battery life.
Equipped with a 250mAh battery, the glasses support up to 11 hours of music playback and 8 hours of mixed use. According to Wuxin's official website, the WQ7036 is a new-generation high-specification Bluetooth audio SoC chip with an integrated high-performance HiFi 5 DSP and NPU, supporting complex multi-microphone noise reduction algorithms and keyword wake-up, while maintaining low power consumption.
Notably, Transsion did not adopt the Sony IMX 681 image sensor, widely used in many AI smart glasses, but instead used an OV50D image sensor chip, supporting a 100-degree field of view, F2.4 aperture, and 5-megapixel photography.
The Transsion AI Glasses Pro model supports translation in 100 languages, and applications such as note-taking and meeting minutes. There was a previous misinformation that the Transsion AI Glasses Pro supports dual-eye display, but it only supports dual-display for both eyes.
Transsion has not yet disclosed the price or specific launch date for the two models.
7Xian Wei introduced the BleeqUp Ranger AI smart glasses at MWC, focusing on sports scenarios. Like Xiaomi AI smart glasses and Transsion AI smart glasses, BleeqUp Ranger also uses a dual-chip architecture, featuring a Qualcomm W5100 chip and a Hengxuan 2700 chip.
The increasing adoption of dual-chip solutions in AI smart glasses is notable. Currently, the overseas market research, design, and overall overseas marketing for BleeqUp Ranger AI smart glasses are managed by Qinglan Tu, a well-known marketing consulting firm focusing on overseas markets.
Table 2 has been updated to include information on some ODM solutions, including舜为 (Shunwei), 亿镜 (Yijinjing), 小满未来 (Xiaoman Weilai), 视享科技 (Shixiang Technology), 形意智能 (Xingyi Intelligence), and 希姆通 (XimuTong).
The chip supplier information table has also been updated, with new information on Fu Han Micro's subsidiary Kuang Ming Intelligence working on a solution based on the Hengxuan 2800 + Fu Han Micro ISP.
ByteDance is reportedly planning to develop a product with a display and one without, both still in the research stage. Another traditional mobile phone manufacturer is also expected to launch AI smart glasses with display and camera functions, but the release is likely to be in the second half of the year or early next year.
The updates to the "Comprehensive Guide to AI Smart Glasses" reflect the dynamic and rapidly evolving nature of the AI smart glasses industry. With new products entering the market and continuous updates to existing ones, the guide serves as an essential resource for staying informed about the latest developments. As the industry continues to grow, it will be interesting to see how these products evolve and what new innovations they bring to the market.
