On the afternoon of March 12, 2025, the AI Glasses Industry Advancement Seminar, hosted by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), was successfully held in Hangzhou. The event brought together numerous distinguished guests from government, associations, and enterprises to discuss key issues related to industry development trends, product technological breakthroughs, and standard system construction.
The seminar featured speeches from prominent figures such as Zhou Daming, Director of the Consumer Electronics Division at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT); Zhang Zhining, Deputy Director of the Digital Economy Division at the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology; and Guo Lin, Deputy Director of the Telecommunication Terminal Laboratory at CAICT. The meeting was chaired by Fu Rongrong, Deputy Director of the Intelligent Product Evaluation Department at the Telecommunication Terminal Laboratory.
Zhang Zhining welcomed the participants and emphasized that AI glasses are one of the best carriers for the implementation of artificial intelligence technology in hardware. He highlighted Zhejiang Province's commitment to optimizing the business environment and encouraging enterprises to expand their networks and create a vibrant industrial ecosystem.
Guo Lin introduced the relevant policies for intelligent terminals and the basic situation of the Telecommunication Terminal Laboratory. She noted that the laboratory has been actively promoting the grading of terminal intelligence and has established a comprehensive evaluation system for AI glasses. Looking ahead, the laboratory will initiate an AI glasses industry advancement plan, focusing on key technologies and industrial ecology research, and promoting the implementation and landing of key industry standards.
Fu Rongrong detailed the work content and future plans of the AI glasses industry advancement plan. Upcoming efforts will focus on standard development, industrial mapping, supply-demand alignment, testing and evaluation, and research report production.

These presentations covered a range of topics, including end-network collaboration, product design and solutions, core technology exploration, trustworthy connection and interaction, and the integration of visual health.
During the panel discussion, participants engaged in lively debates on the construction of industry standards, the demand for testing and certification, and suggestions for the industry advancement working group.
In his concluding remarks, Zhou Daming highlighted the positive development momentum of China's AI glasses industry while acknowledging the challenges ahead. He emphasized the importance of product design, integrated applications, and technological breakthroughs. He called for strengthened efforts in key technology research and development, accelerated improvement of the industrial ecosystem, and optimization of the industry development environment to drive the industry towards higher levels of innovation.
The AI Glasses Industry Advancement Seminar gathered nearly 100 representatives and leaders from over 50 leading enterprises in AI glasses technology and products. China's AI glasses industry is currently at a critical strategic opportunity period. With continuous upgrades on both the supply and demand sides and the sustained release of consumption potential, the future of AI glasses is bright and full of possibilities.
The AI glasses industry advancement plan aims to integrate forces from multiple sectors, focusing on key technologies, standards, and industrial research to improve China's AI glasses technology and application ecosystem. It seeks to promote the healthy and rapid development of the industry and its widespread application in various social and economic fields.
