Leading OEM/ODM Services for Cutting-Edge AI & AR Hardware Innovations
In a significant move to boost the adoption of AR/AI glasses, Shanghai has become the first city to include AR/AI glasses in the digital product subsidy scheme. Consumers purchasing AR/AI glasses from well-known brands such as Rokid, Lei Bird, and Meizu can now enjoy a direct price subsidy of up to 15%, with a maximum subsidy of 500 yuan per item. This policy marks the official recognition and support for AR/AI glasses as cutting-edge tech products. Following Shanghai's implementation, other cities like Beijing and Shenzhen are also expected to roll out similar subsidy policies.
The补贴 (subsidy) policy in Shanghai allows consumers to receive a 15% discount when purchasing AR/AI glasses, provided they set their shipping address to Shanghai on JD.com. The discount is applied automatically at checkout, requiring no additional application procedures. For example, the popular Rokid AR Lite, priced at 3,099 yuan, will cost Shanghai consumers only 2,634.15 yuan after the discount.
Major AR/AI glasses brands such as Rokid, Meizu, and Lei Bird are covered under the subsidy scheme. The discount applies to a range of products, including the Rokid AR Lite, Rokid Max, Lei Bird V3, and Meizu Air 2, among others.
The subsidy policy is expected to significantly accelerate the adoption of AR/AI glasses. According to the latest forecast by XR Research Institute, the global shipment of AR/AI glasses is projected to exceed 130 million units annually by 2030, with the entire industry chain gradually evolving into a trillion - yuan - scale strategic emerging industry.朱殿荣 (Zhu Dianrong), Chief Strategist of Fei Hong Research Institute, stated, "Shanghai's subsidy policy will undoubtedly accelerate the development of the AR/AI glasses industry. It not only promotes the consumption of new intelligent terminals but also aims to expedite the普及 (popularization) and application of AI and AR technologies, while fostering a globally leading AR/AI industrial cluster."
